Hello Friends,
Last week I did an art challenge with artist Nicholas Wilton. It helped me to realize that I can do some kind of art almost every day, if I'm not hung up on results. Most days, I have 20-30 minutes to experiment in an art journal. On the weekends I can do more.
Over the weekend I painted a batch of mini canvases that I sell as fridge magnets. (I'll show those in a future post.) On Monday I did some crafting - birthday cards and a "Books of the Bible" card file for my son.
On Tuesday, I made this layout. For the bird, I cut shapes from cardstock and covered it with feathers. The turquoise thread unraveled from my painting shirt a couple of days ago. I glued it under the words "life story". Most of my colouring was done with Gelatos and a wet finger. The words are from various sources.
The best thing about having a daily art habit is the extra measure of joy I feel. Whatever it is that brings you joy, I hope you make room for it in your daily life. Let these Chinese farmers inspire you.
hugs & smiles,
Teresa
