A vital part of our church life are our many small groups that meet, mostly in homes, during the week. We call them Life Groups. One of the key benefits of a Life Group is the encouragement we give to one another.
I am one of the leaders of our only children's life group. A few of our members regularly bring lovely letters and pictures to us. We thought it would be nice to spread the love around a bit. So last week we started drawing names from a box with the understanding that we would pray for that person and then bring him/her an encouraging letter, card or picture the following week.
Not everyone wanted to draw a name and that was okay. This was mainly for the people who enjoy doing that sort of thing. Still, I was surprised how many of the children did want to participate.
I've often heard it said, "Kids can be cruel." but they can also be very kind.
My card today was made for the boy whose name I drew from that little box. His name is Josh and he is a delightful boy with an infectious grin and a gentle manner. The image I used is a pre-colored Dearie Dolls digi. The inside sentiment is a Tickell Expressions word art and I will give it to you at the end of this post. I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.
Thanks for stopping by and I do apologize for the poor quality of the pictures. I was in a bit of rush.
Blessing hugs,
Teresa
