Hello Friends,
I am scheduling this post, and the two that will follow, so that the recipients do not see them before they open them on the 23rd.
We have dear friends who recently moved to Ontario. We have been involved with their family since their engagement when we took them through pre-marriage counseling for six months. We remained close as their family blossomed and became like an extra set of grandparents to their six children.
This is the mixed media canvas I did for the parents. It was a brave challenge they took in moving their whole family to Ontario, but they are doing well. Our prayer is that everything they put their hands and minds to will prosper.
I came across a beautiful handmade paper I had in my stash and had forgotten about. I used it in the background of this design, but one of the flowers embedded in the paper found its way to the forefront.
Next up is what I made for the four boys in the family. Below are the canvasses with collaged backgrounds and painted chipboard letters that I will use in the design. I will show the completed canvasses in my next post.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying this Christmas season.
Blessing hugs,
Teresa

Beautiful work, I am sure the recipients will be thrilled! Hugs, Valerie
Wow Teresa you have become an amazing artist and definitely the canvas queen. Just adore the vibrant greens on the first with the wonderful wording and then the boys will just reassure their stunning canvasses in such fun colours. I love the retro feel to them. Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed festive season and a 2015 filled with tons of love and joy.

Only a brief moment for a comment since I found the computer unoccupied by the grandkids. :-D Lovely canvas, my friend, and I do love that paper you chose for the background! Perfect scripture for a family finding their way on a new venture. Merry Christmas, Teresa, to your and yours. Hugz, NC
Really elegant! Love the palette, design, and fab elements you combined on this! What a wonderful gift! :^)

Your canvas turned out beautiful. Looks like your friends moved to my part of the country. ;) I'm sure you will miss them dearly. I hope that Ontario takes care of them and that they prosper here in this beautiful province.
Thanks for once again linking up to Challenge #21 over on the Path of Positivity.
