Family birthday cards

Hello Friends,

Do you ever feel like a professional juggler? Every ball is important, but sometimes they fall and get a little cracked. My family and close friends love my handmade cards and, at this point, I wouldn't dare send them something store bought. Better to send something late and that is what I did for several January family birthday card recipients.

These two cards were for my niece and great-niece (her daughter). For my  niece's card, I started with a Copic marker background, drawn on photo paper. I was just playing around really.
Well, I really hate when this happens, but I can't figure out who the artist of this cute image is. If you know, please tell me so I can give credit where it is due. I coloured her with Copics and added clear glitter glue to the bubbles.
I used more Copics on the background piece and then used my Swiss dot embossing folder on it.My final touch was to add a sentiment, a flower sticker and some gemstone trim.

For my great-niece's card I used mostly stickers. Stickers can really help to create a super-fast and easy design, which is what I needed since my cards got off late. I added some trim and letter stickers spelling her name.
Thank you so much for stopping by to visit my blog. Your visits and your lovely comments give me courage to keep trying new things, artistically. I hope that I can inspire you at least half as much as you inspire me.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

Both cards are lovely. I especially like the one with the hand drawn background and the glittery bubbles. I think you have inspired me to take a soak in the bath....Hugs, Valerie

I understand about the store-bought cards. My family gets hurt feelings if I don't make them! ;^)
Love the painting you did for your first card! So original, and sooo pretty! Really cute image; love the coloring, and the fun added sparkle! :^)
And the stickers are so sweet--perfect for a little girl! Love the added edge cut on her card.
Hugs, Penny
