Hello Friends,
If you were here recently you know that I promised you some upcoming birthday cards. I have two for you in this post.
My 2nd child was born at 1:30 a.m. on March 6, 1980 in a NJ child birthing clinic -- a very progressive thing at that time. I took him home just 12 hours later and soon received a call from my BIL that my sister had also given birth to a boy at 10:30 that same morning. And so that is the reason I was scrambling today to make two special cards for two very special young men.
For my son I made a side stepper card, using humourous images and sentiments by Bugaboo Digi Stamps. I won these by playing the Paper Ala Mode challenge at The Outlawz in January.
For my nephew's card I used a painted and embossed background, along with an image by Making Our Mark. I included some buttons, bakers twine and tags that I cut from a used card front. The words were stenciled with black paint.
I used the same inside sentiment on both cards, which I freshly created today. I will give you the file for use on your own birthday projects.
I have quite a few more birthday cards to make so I should have more posts in the coming days. All those spring babies, ya know. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the sentiment.
Hugs & smiles,
Teresa

The scalloped circle was punched from a painted background paper. |
I love the goofy faces, especially the sheep with its tongue stuck out. |
Here you can see the steps and popped up images. I made a pocket for a gift card in the middle step. |
I used the same inside sentiment on both cards, which I freshly created today. I will give you the file for use on your own birthday projects.

You are so sweet... Those sentiment are really neat. Your three stepper card is amazing, trying to check out your green paper you used it is really awesome. I sure your son got a charge out of his card it turned out really neat. This one is so different love the red, your embossing and the added image is really funny, great job.
