Hello Friends,
We were hit with the third big winter storm in about a week. It started at around 6 p.m. (Canadian Atlantic Time) last night. We lost power around 10:30 for about 12 hours. It is still blowing pretty hard out there so we will see how long it stays on. In the meantime, I will share some pics of how we weather winter storms on Prince Edward Island.
I think I will climb back under the blankets now. Even though we have power, it will take a while for the house to warm up.

Oh my, it looks bad! We had snow here, but nothing like yours. Must be freezing without power and heating. Glad your husband is so inventive with good ideas to keep you going! Hope it soon gets warm for you, stay safe, hugs, Valerie
Hi Teresa,
It realy is winter there on Prince Edward Island.It's been years ago (in the winter of 1979) that we had such a snowstorm here in the Netherlands. It must have been very cold without heating ... brrrr. Hope you won't lose power again.

Gosh! Stay in and try and keep warm. My son was complaining the other day about how little snow we have had. I wonder what he would think if he lived near you! My great aunt used to say that clothes were made to keep out the cold in Canada - she lived in Ontario. Sending love xx
I know how you feel, stay warm. We just got hit with 15 inches and another 1 1/2 last night. This is out first snow storm this year. We are lucky so far.

I'm so glad you shared all those photos, Teresa, although I understand how miserable that kind of deep snow weather can be. After 2 years in Alaska, I swore I'd never again live where there would be snow to shovel from my driveway so the Central Valley of California suits me just fine. But I do missthe quiet beauty of snowscapes so your pictures were a nice treat.
