Hello Lovely Blog Friends,
Recently I got out my container of water colour media, put on some worship music and just had fun. Mostly I used crayons, Gelatos and tube paints, but there is some water colour pencil work in the background. I was attempting a rose that did not turn out, but it was not a waste. Practicing different art techniques is never a waste, even if it is just to find out what you don't like to do.
I am more comfortable painting with acrylics than water colours, but I like how this one turned out. The flowers 'grew' out of random circles I painted on the page. I decided to donate this to a fund raiser auction for an upcoming youth mission trip. Here it is framed.
I wanted to contribute something else for the auction so I decided to make prints of this painting and make them into note card sets.
Here is one of the cards.
I really challenged myself and it took quite a few tries, but I managed to make matching envelopes for the cards.
I apologize for the poor quality of these last few photos. I took them at night and obviously cast a huge shadow on the envelope. It looks very sweet in real life and the envelope is actually white.
This is a big card I made with the painting's image. I am sending it to a young friend for her birthday.
Now I have a treat for you. I made a JPEG of two of the flowers and some printables for you to make your own cards and envelopes.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy my printables. We are expecting another storm tomorrow with hurricane-force winds and up to 50 cm. of snowfall. I thought I'd better post this now in case we lose power.
Blessing hugs,
Teresa

Beautiful painting, Teresa, and it's wonderful in that frame. What a clever idea to make note cards copies! I never would have thought of that.
Such beautiful flowers!
