Something Fun

Hello Friends,

Do you have a place where you keep printed out or pre-stamped images? Is it kind of like the Lost & Found box at your elementary school in years gone by, minus the smell of musty mittens? Yesterday I decided to rummage through mine and I came up with a couple of images that I thought would be perfect for a young boy's birthday card. Trouble is, I couldn't quite come up with a design, so I went to bed thinking about it. In the morning I woke up and had somewhat of a plan. I knew I wanted to do some kind of a gatefold, but I had this little peeker puppy and I still wasn't sure how to use him. Then it hit me!

Here is what I did. I created a band to go over the gatefold card, closed it with a bone-shaped brad and mounted my GTC puppy at the top so he looks like he is chomping on the bone.

I mounted a die cut and an image by Sandi Huggett (Sandi's Samples) to one side of the gatefold. This was coloured with Copics.

Here is the inside of the card.
And here is the card with the peeker puppy band holding it together.
I used nothing but Washi tape and ribbon (the paws pattern) to decorate this card. And, if you like the sentiment, here is the set for you.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are off to a great start to a wonderful weekend.

Hugs & smiles,
Teresa

Love your doggy card! I started off a bit box for odds and ends of leftovers. Then another one....and somehow they multiplied, now I have a cupboard full of bit boxes. They are next on my plan for the big clean out! Hugs, Valerie
