Hello Folks,
My blogger friend, Angela Hoynes (Crafting with Jack) started a personal challenge to improve her drawing skills. She invited anyone who wanted to do likewise to join her in the challenge to draw and colour something every day. Well I don't know if I am up to drawing AND colouring something EVERY day, but I do want to improve my drawing skills so I said I would try to keep up to my friend somewhat. We are going to post links to each others blogs whenever we have a new drawing up. Our followers will reap the benefits, of course, so make sure to follow by e-mail so you don't miss a post.
Yesterday a darling yellow finch flew to my window and began bumping on it like it wanted to get in. He came back again this morning. He must have heard about me and my well-fed, free-flying pet birds. I looked it up online and discovered that my friendly little visitor is a Willow Goldfinch, the state bird of Washington. He is mostly yellow (male, spring plumage) with a black cap and wings.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you like my little goldfinch. I appreciate your comments and would be thrilled to see how you colour this fellow up.
Hugs & smiles,
Teresa

What a beautiful drawing! I have never seen one of these finches here. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful work! Hugs, Valerie
Hello Teresa, how lovely that you and Angela are getting together to challenge yourselves, such a brilliant idea. I love your little finch, you have done a remarkable likeness to a finch and I will at some point try colouring him. I am at present doing a colouring course so hopefully do it justice in the future...
