Hello Friends,
A few weeks ago I drew a Willow Gold Finch and started a couple of paintings with it. I just realized that I never posted the completed paintings. Here they are (I kept one and gave one to our new neighbour), along with the process paintings and the original drawing.
The green is painter's tape, which is holding the watercolour paper onto a piece of cardboard to prevent it from curling when wet.
Here are the paintings with the tape removed. The tape leaves a nice even border.
These are actually hybrid paintings because I printed out digital images of my originally hand-drawn bird onto water colour paper and did my painting from that. I kept one and gave one to our new neighbours. In case you missed out on getting the digital image, here it is again.

Terrific, Teresa! I loved coloring this image back when you first did it but I really love it done in water colors. I may have to try that, myself. :-D
