Hello Friends and welcome to 2018!
As a mixed media artist and all-around crafty person, I often become overwhelmed with all the wonderful choices open to me in my studio. On Cloth, Paper, Scissors today I came across an ingenious idea to help de-clutter an artist's mind. Carol Dube created a set of dice for mixed media artists. Inspired by her creativity, I decided to come up with a system of my own.
I first made a list of tutorials for art I would like to learn or improve in. Next were the art media I enjoy working with or want to learn. Then I listed the items I most often make or want to make - cards, paintings, gifts, etc. I wrote down subjects (faces, animals, landscapes) I like to illustrate. Finally, I made a (in-exhaustive) list of my current art supplies. I cut these all into strips, folded them and inserted them in the drawers (and container) of a box I picked up at the dollar store. I wrote on them in chalk so I can easily change what doesn't work for me.
If you are strictly a paper-crafter or painter, your lists will be simpler than mine, but I will include mine as a sample. If you know of a way to attach a pdf file in blogger, I would be happy to know how to do it.
Thanks for stopping by and happy 2018.

Have fun following your goals. Hugs, Valerie
What a great idea, Teresa! I'm going to try something like that myself but I may do separate lists for each of the various crafts I enjoy since I'm not much of a mixed media crafter. :-D
Such a great idea, no more "What shall I do?" and ending up doing nothing! Wishing you a very happy New Year x
That is a wonderful list!!! Happy New Year!
