Art Journal Layout

Hello Folks,

The one positive thing this pandemic has created is a sense of community around the world. I can't think of how people are doing in Canada without thinking about how people are doing in Germany, USA, Australia and so many other places. All over the Internet: on You Tube, Facebook, and in blog world, I hear people expressing concern for people they may never meet in person. I know this is not everyone, but I would rather focus on the wonderful people around the world who genuinely care. I'm willing to bet you are one of those people, so let me take this opportunity to say thank you.

Today, I made a journal page layout in my biggest art journal. I'm dedicating this page and this post to all my wonderful friends in blog land who inspire me with their positive attitudes and creativity. To name a few: Crafting With Jack, Grammy's Attic, Bastelmania, The Nickel Nook, Redora Lee Designs, Cards, Crafts, Kids Projects, The Frugal Crafter, heARTworks, and so many more.
We all have broken places in our lives, but those are the places where we can touch the lives of others from a genuine place of caring. "I've been there," you can say. "I came through and you will too." Those broken places then become like those clay pots with the intricate carvings that you sit a candle in so the light can burst through the cracks.

I've heard about people berating grocery store cashiers until they were in tears, or physically attacking someone in public they perceived to be sick. Fear spreads faster than the virus. But hope can spread too. We can believe that we will get through this.We can cultivate kindness. We can dream. Our hope, kindness and our dreams for a brighter future, can become like a sheltering tree for ourselves and for others around us.
Even though most of us are isolating ourselves physically from others, we can still reach out to friends, family & neighbours with telephone calls, online messages or even mailing a card.
So keep safe, but don't hide. Your world needs your kindness, strength and inspiration. We will get through this, together.

Hugs & smiles,
Teresa

Beautiful page, and thanks for thinking of me, too. The world has gone crazy, that's true. Stay well and safe! Hugs, Valerie
