Fairy House

 Hello Friends,

I have a fun project to show you today. It was inspired by one of my favourite You Tubers - Marta of Maremi Small Art.

I picked up an unfinished little house at the Dollar store and used a piece of box-board for the base. After sanding and priming, the real fun began.
I used texture paste on the house and coloured it with Dr. PH Martin's liquid watercolors.
Store-bought sand and seashells were glued onto the base.
I glued store-bought moss onto my roof and made a little patch of grass in front of the fence. A box-board oval, covered in moss, made the hedge behind the fence.
I had the birds and fence in my stash for a long time. The gnome is a sticker. That is Terry's hand holding the base, so it gives you a good idea of the size.

Thanks for stopping by. I really enjoyed making this frivolous little project. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, but it makes me smile so that is good enough.

Hugs & smiles,

Teresa

I love your little house, I think sometimes we need to make such extravagant little things and just have fun. It is really ***fab***u***lous***

it's a very sweet little house Teresa. Thank you for visiting my blog. Recently I watched several YouTube videos regarding Journal ephemera, tucks and pockets. It's quite nice to have batches of them ready in neutral colours to add to journals. I cam across one person a while ago, who didn't put her journal together till the pages were done, other people seem to do them after the journal is sewn in. It seems to take much longer to do it the first way, although it makes the pages easier to work on. I was amazed how thick my signature was after I had done the pages. It changed the number of signatures I had intended doing. I think it depends on how many pages you leave blank for writing on or if you decorate every page. I started doing a challenge in which you had to make so many tuck spots, so many side pockets and strips for decoration. I was very late in starting the challenge and I didn't finish it, but I learnt a lot. Angela x
