Hello Friends,
Have you heard of Mary Ellen at Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps? She creates and gives away darling images on an almost daily basis. I needed a great card for a sweet little boy in my SS class and Mary Ellen's "Free Puppies" image was just the thing.
I printed out two images so I could pop up some of the features, like 3 of the puppy heads. I also did some experimenting with water colour pencils, water based markers, a blender pen and a water-dipped paint brush. It is tricky trying to get the colours to blend on ordinary card stock.
While I used pop dots for the puppy heads, I made a 'sproing' out of a card stock scrap for the boy's head. It gives his head a bit of a wiggle.
And here is the completed card. The paw print is ribbon, the red strip is Washi tape, the bone is a brad and my papers are K & Company.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are having a good week so far.
Hugs & smiles,
Teresa

So super cute, Teresa! I think all of the Dearie Doll images are wonderful! You're inspiring me to pull out my watercolour pencils, as I haven't used them in a while! We'll see how that goes! :o)
What a gorgeous and fun tag! That little boy will be over the moon. You have put so much love and heart into it! Big hugs, Valerie
I love how rough and tumble you made the little boy! Reminds me of my youngest grandson. A beauty of a card! Love the details you put in. The ribbon on the bone, priceless!
Adorable card! Love what you've done here!
Awe, this is so cute and fun the little guy. Fab colors and design. He will love and treasure.

Oh, this is so much fun, Teresa! Loving the dimension and I'm going to use your idea of making as 'sproing' out of a CS scrap. I never would have thought about that myself and it's such a great idea. Love, love, love the doggie embellies. :-D
Teresa, this is adorable! Love the way you colored the image and popped it! You chose such fun ribbon and tape--love them & the brad you used, too! Perfect card for a little boy! :^)
Hugs, Penny
