Hello Friends,
I have another birthday card for you today. This one uses an original water colour painting and the palette at The Outlawz Tuesday Colour Challenge. Their twist is birthdays. I'm trying to build up a bit of a stash before I start getting my April birthday cards ready to go out so this twist is great timing for me.
Ursula, a good blog friend of mine, chose the inspiration photo. You just have to pick three colours out of the five shown. I went with the first three - blue, yellow and green. I used a Z-fold. I hadn't used this fold in a very long time, but my blog friend, Karon, inspired me with one of her creations. You can see Karon's crafty creations at Karon's Krafty Korner.
The sentiment on the front of the card is public domain so I can offer it to you at the end of this post.
And the inside sentiment is my own creation so I can offer it to you as part of the set.
The flower - daisy or sunflower - is also my own creation, done with water colour pencils and a bit of water to activate them. I'm not so pleased with how the leaves turned out, but they are what they are.
And here is another shot of the whole card. I must apologize for the dullness of the photos. Natural light is in short supply the last few days as we have just come through another blizzard and there is another one on the way to begin this evening.
And here is the sentiment set for you to enjoy. I actually coloured the leaves in the front quote after I took these pictures. Totally forgot about doing that.
Thanks for visiting my blog today. I appreciate you taking the time to see what I have been doing and I just love reading your comments.
Hugs & smiles,
Teresa

Have you dug out yet? Geesh, sure glad I don't have to worry about snow in March!! I do remember years and years of that when I lived in Montana and Minnesota though...
What a beautiful birthday card! Love the Z-design, and the color palette! And that flower is so beautiful! I love the warmth that it makes me feel looking at it! Really pretty with the doily behind it, too! :^)

I saaw and commented on this magnificent flower over at Outlawz but just had to come here for another look. It's stunning, my friend! My birthday card has arrived, and I do love all the sweet little goodies but mostly I'm just gobsmacked over that fancy fold. I did use your link to get the tutorial and I am going ot make some time this weekend to make at least one of these, maybe more. Seeing your card IRL is even better inspiration. No photo could do it justice. Thank you so much!
This flower is beautiful Teresa xx
