Watercolor Play

Hello Friends,

Yesterday was such a lovely day, I decided to sit in my yard and do a little watercolor painting. When my cat saw I was heading out the door, she wanted to come along. So I scooped her up and put her in the enclosure my husband made for that purpose. She looked so content, I thought my rabbits would enjoy some outside time as well, especially since the grasses have grown so nicely in there. Yum, yum.

I am always hearing that artists should draw from life whenever possible because it will help to develop their skills. I admit, this is something I rarely do. At one point, my Flemish Giant, Petunia, sat on her haunches with her paws on the door frame. She was so cute, I decided to try to capture the moment. But first up, was the challenge of drawing the enclosure, which is attached to the back of our garage. It took a good deal of time and I left a few details out to simplify the painting. I also left out Plussette and my other rabbit, Ricky. Petunia didn't turn out at all realistic, but I still think she is cute.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are enjoying the weather where you live and finding some time for creativity too.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

I actually think you have done quite well with this picture. Petunia might not be as realistic as you would have liked, but you deserve 10/10 for her pen. X
