Paper Weaving

Hello Friends,

Lately I have been re-discovering some card making techniques I haven't used in a while - like gatefold and Z-fold cards. Today I decided to do some paper weaving, using 1/4 inch strips of patterned papers - 3 different kinds.

It's easy and can be quite relaxing. Just glue the tips of your vertical strips to a piece of cardstock. I used a 1/8 inch strip of red sticky tape. You want to make sure it is thin. You weave your other strips horizontally over and under the vertical strips until you have filled up your card stock piece. Glue everything down with white glue and trim around your card stock piece. I like to finish my pieces off with an embossing folder.
I had a couple of strips leftover which I used on the card base. A doily and some simple embellishments pretty much completed this design.
This is a birthday card for a little girl in my SS class. I hope she will like it.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. I hope you are having a good weekend.

Hugs,
Teresa
